- Debbie meets with members of the community and discuss the project and what they are thinking about, to make sure everyone is on the same page. If the project is useful and suitable for the research project and not too huge, Debbie will be able to do it voluntarily and in kind donations, money for materials and advice might be sought if needed.
- The community looks for a place, or pre-exisitng structure to use, or plans to make a structure.
- The community develops the idea with Debbie about the type of artwork it will be and what the process will be to make the artwork.
- Permits, assistance, materials, technical information, testing, conversations, take place to ensure that the artwork making and installation is done properly and safely with community and council knowledge and consent.
- We make and install the artwork.
notes:
For the purpose of this project the this aspect of the research where I will work with communities to make artwork in public space:
- is being restricted to the area covered by the City of Brimbank.
- must be a project in accesible and publicly owned space
- should be permanent or long-term artwork (not ephemeral)
